Fujifilm Dimatix

Cleanroom

Client: Fujifilm Dimatix

Estimation: $20 Million

Duration: 8 months

ADC Construction Management, Inc. (ADCCM) conducted work on Fujifilm Dimatix headquarters located in Santa Clara, CA. The construction took place in Building B, a single story building which measures approximately 33,400 square feet. The existing cleanroom area consisted of approximately 7,300 square feet. The intent of this Dimatix project was to expand the cleanroom manufacturing area by 12,200 square feet of which 5,100 square feet will be clean aisles. Additionally, an expansion of 800 square feet was also proposed for a SEM Lab.

ADCCM bid and was successfully awarded the work to develop a project that included developing a new infrastructure system to feed the new area and to do the complete build out that was previously described. The proposed work required minimal modifications to the existing equipment yard in order to avoid utility shutdowns and adverse impact on existing production. This proposed arrangement has been reviewed favorably by the City of Santa Clara planning and building departments.

The new equipment yard housed the new 12 kV, 3000 KVA switchgear, air handlers, chiller plant and chemical storage. A steel platform was also built to accommodate the installation of new cooling towers, VOC/Acid exhaust systems and process cooling water equipment. The project construction was successfully completed on budget and on-time.
